"Love in the Big City" is a film adaptation of Park Sang-young's novel of the same name published in 2019 that was longlisted for the International Booker prize in 2022. The movie follows Jae-hee, a bold and outspoken woman who often finds herself embroiled in negative rumors. After accidentally revealing her biggest secret to Heung-soo, the characters discover they have no romantic attraction toward each other and instead form an unexpected bond that leads them to become roommates and best friends. As they share their daily lives and rely on each other, their unlikely friendship challenges societal norms and explores the complexities of love and acceptance.
The female lead is portrayed by Kim Go-eun, known for her roles in "Exhuma" and "Goblin" (2016), while the male lead is played by Steve Sang-hyun Noh, who portrayed Christian pastor Baek Isak in “Pachinko” (2022).
Director E.oni first gained recognition for her exquisite mise-en-scène and visually stunning cinematography in her debut film, “...ing (2003).” After a six-year hiatus following “The Accidental Detective 2: In Action (2018),” she returned to the commercial film scene with "Love in the Big City."

Director Ryoo Seung-wan's action-packed hit "Veteran” (2015) is back with a sequel, introducing a new face to the familiar cast.
Veteran detective Seo Do-cheol, played by actor Hwang Jung-min, once again finds himself on the trail of a ruthless serial killer who is taunting law enforcement and plunging the country into chaos. As his team delves deeper into the investigation, they discover a shocking twist that threatens to derail their efforts.
The sequel reunites the original cast, including Hwang as Do-cheol, Oh Dal-su as Captain Oh and Jang Yoon-ju as Detective Bong. Jung Hae-in joins the cast as Park Sun-woo, an idealistic rookie officer brought in to assist with the escalating threat. The film premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival's Midnight Screening in May and was recently selected for the 49th Toronto International Film Festival.
Debuting with the short film "Dangerous Head" in 1996, Director Ryoo Seung-wan gained experience working under the acclaimed director Park Chan-wook before making his feature film debut with "Die Bad" in 2000.
Ryoo's distinctive blend of action and drama earned him the nickname "Korea's action kid." He directed "Crying Fist" (2005) and "The Battleship Island" (2017).
The film continues its box office success, garnering 7.12 million admissions as of Thursday.

The film premiered at the Busan International Film Festival last year, where it received critical acclaim and won the Special Jury Prize.
The film stars Jang Seong-beom, who starred in "Detour" (2016), as the protagonist and actors Kim Young-woong and Jang Liu as his co-workers.

"Black Panther" (2018) actress Lupita Nyong'o has been cast as the voice of Roz, and Kit Connor, known for his role in the Netflix teen series "Heartstopper" (2022), will voice the gosling Brightbill.
